Our History
After immigrating from Spain to Venezuela, Jacobo Benasayag opened the first industrial hardware store in Caracas, Venezuela in 1958. He began importing brands such as Proto®, Stanley®, Crescent®, Vise-grip®, among many other brands. From that one hardware store, a family business has transformed into the global brand Tania Wiring Devices is today.

Ferreteria El Clavo SRL (LLC) is established
First industrial hardware store in Caracas, Venezuela
Distribuidora Koby Electric C.A is established
Began importing brand such as Eagle Electric®, Mueller®, Cooper Tools®, among others

Koby Tools and Tania Wiring Devices is established
Established our brand of hand tools and wiring devices with a catalogue of over 850 products
Expands into Central and South America
Entered markets in Costa Rica, Colombia, Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador, and Dominican Republic

Established Tania Wiring Devices LLC, headquartered in Miami, Florida

Every component is inspected at regular intervals through the manufacturing process and UL labs assess the quality and safety of every device. All applicable products are UL listed.
